Job Summary

Caples Industrial Supply is a locally-owned industrial distributor serving manufacturers, contractors, facilities, and trade customers across northeast Georgia and the surrounding region. Were looking for a results-driven Outside Sales Representative who can grow our customer base in the field while leveraging modern digital tools to manage accounts efficiently. The ideal candidate combines a strong work ethic and customer-first attitude with above-average computer skills comfortable navigating CRM systems, online catalogs, e-commerce platforms, and digital quoting tools to deliver fast, accurate service to customers on the road.

Key Responsibilities

Outside Sales and Account Development

Visit existing customers and prospects at job sites, plants, shops, and facilities throughout the territory

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate industrial products including belts, hose, fittings, fasteners, MRO supplies, safety equipment, and related items

Build and grow a book of business through consistent in-person follow-up, prospecting, and relationship management

Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and product demonstrations on-site

Resolve customer issues quickly by coordinating with inside staff, suppliers, and management

Digital and Computer-Based Work

Maintain accurate customer records, call logs, opportunities, and pipeline activity in CRM/ERP systems

Use online manufacturer catalogs, cross-reference databases, and e-commerce platforms to source and quote products from the field

Generate quotes, sales orders, and invoices using our point-of-sale and order-entry systems

Send professional follow-up communications via email, supplier portals, and digital quoting tools

Capture site photos, part details, and specifications digitally to streamline sourcing and reorders

Help identify products and customer accounts that could be supported through our online sales channels

Reporting and Coordination

Submit regular call reports, sales forecasts, and territory updates

Coordinate with inside sales and warehouse staff on deliveries, special orders, and customer follow-through

Stay current on new products, supplier promotions, and competitive offerings
