Customer Service Technician -

The City of Radford has a full-time opening for a Customer Service Technician. The Customer Service Technician will perform intermediate skilled and technical work in the inspecting, testing, repair, and maintenance of electric meters. The successful candidate will:

Install and repair overhead and underground services to residential and commercial customers; install and maintain all @types of metering systems for residential and commercial customers

Install and maintain lighting for residential dusk to dawn lights

Install and maintain street lighting and traffic lights

Test and maintain meters for residential and commercial and commercial customers

Record and keep records for voltage recordings

Receive and respond to customer inquiries and complaints

Make meter work orders and keep customer records for Billing Department

Work with contractors on all service and metering installations

Perform Miss Utility locations for underground electrical lines

Perform electrical repair and maintenance on City buildings

The Customer Service Technician will possess an appropriate driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, CPR and first aid certifications.
