Description:

The Deputy I is an entry-level position within the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office. This role is responsible for providing administrative support in the assessment and record-keeping of all taxes assessed by the Commissioners office. This position serves as the foundation for a career in tax administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accurate data entry and assessment of personal property such as vehicles, boats, mobile homes and business personal property.

Assisting taxpayers with inquiries related to personal property taxes.

Organizing and maintaining records, both physical and electronic.

Assist business owners with business licenses inquiries based on the @type of business.

Strong emphasis on promoting a friendly and professional customer service focused environment in the Commissioners office.

This position will report directly to the Commissioner of Revenue.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
