VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for use in avionics, military, space and industrial applications, has an immediate opening for an Electronics Drafter. This is a full-time position located in our Blacksburg, VA headquarters. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Electronics Drafter will be a key member within our Quality Department.

Responsibilities will include:

Work with electrical engineers to create schematics and lay out printed circuit boards (PCBs) for DC-DC converters and EMI filters

Modify existing PCB designs for product updates/improvements

Generate 3D models and dimension drawings of electronic components and hardware

Create assembly drawings and other production documentation

Communicate with various suppliers to ensure manufacturability of designs

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Drafting/Technical Drawing or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Basic understanding of PCB manufacturing processes

Electrical drafting experience (Altium Designer preferred)

3D modeling/drafting experience (Solidworks preferred)
