Summary of Duties**

Faculty plan and teach all courses containing nursing objectives or direct the teaching of those courses provided by teaching assistants (adjuncts), report to the program administrator, and contribute to the evaluation and implementation of, or changes in program curriculum.

Duties & Responsibilities**

The instructor has the responsibility for developing curricula and teaching Nursing Program courses, as well as completing course assessments and student evaluations. In addition, specific duties and responsibilities are included, but are not limited to the following:

Plan and teach Nursing Program courses and laboratories in accordance with Rhodes State College and Ohio Revised Code faculty workload requirements. Faculty in associate degree programs are expected to maintain a teaching assignment that constitutes at least 80% of their total departmental workload. Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of, or changes in program curriculum.

Publish through the College Learning Management System (LMS) a SYL syllabus for each student inclusive of all items listed in Chapter 4723-5-19{rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"}

of the Ohio Revised Code.

Design and implement teaching strategies that will assist a nursing student to meet the course objectives or outcomes.

Direct and supervise the activities of a teaching assistant/adjunct instructor, if utilized.
