Position Overview: The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the efficient and organized operation of warehouse activities. This role involves handling and managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring a safe and clean working environment within the warehouse and supporting fleet operations. The Warehouse Technician will collaborate with various departments to meet production and distribution goals while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations. Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship orders in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that all outgoing shipments comply with shipping and documentation standards. Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.

Fleet Operations: Maintain required documentation and record management. Perform routing maintenance and tracking of vehicle maintenance needs. Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and movement based on operational needs.

Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with company standards. Report and address any quality issues promptly.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing warehouse activities. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space. Properly label and store products in designated locations.

Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Collaborate with other departments to fulfill cross-functional objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in warehouse operations.

Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.

Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Certification in forklift operation preferred.

Previous experience with inventory control software.

Knowledge of industry best practices in warehouse management.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to move throughout the warehouse, often for long periods, to monitor operations and ensure compliance with procedures.

Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling during the workday.

Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds (occasionally more, depending on the role) for tasks such as inspecting goods or assisting in inventory management.
