Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the efficient and effecti

ve operation of all aspects of the Facility.

Oversees efficiency through

monit oring production, scanning make- sheet s , and discuss ing daily goals with Superintendents.

Directs Superintendents

with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates .

Handles any employee grievance, dispute or problem in most efficient manner possible, working closely with Human Resources department as necessary .

Maintain s

acceptable yield levels on all products while pro ducing product to specification .

Perform daily safety walks and co

rrect any non-compliance issues .

Help develop the managemen

t team of the Facility through active partici pation in group meetings.

Trains and develops Superintendents

providing guidance on managerial and teamwork skills to attain department objectives .

Works closely with the Quality Assurance D

epartment to ensure all product quality and food safety standards are enforced .

Ensure all policies and the collective bargaining agreement is und

erstood and enforced .

Must maintain a positive working relationship with government agencies and h

elp add ress any USDA regulatory issues .

Contribute to the ongoing development of

JBS policies and procedures .

Communicate to all le

vels within the organization on information as needed.

All other

duties as directed by General Manager

Experience Required:

High school diploma or GED equivale

nt with preferred college degree, preferred but not required .

Minimum 5 years

supervisory experience working in meat industry.
