Inside Sales Account Manager - Mobile Accessories & Consumer Electronics

Insight Global • Florham Park, NJ • 21min ago

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Inside Sales Account Manager for a client of ours that is a global leader in consumer electronics. You will sell a portfolio of leading brand-name mobile accessories and consumer electronics to wholesale, retail, and e-commerce buyers such as retail category buyers, distributors, and online marketplace sellers, backed by a global organization that trades in more than 80 countries. This is a phone-first, results-driven role: you will carry a monthly target, and your earnings are directly tied to what you close. Our market moves quickly: when new inventory becomes available, you will identify the right buyers, negotiate competitive pricing, and close business fast. You will build your book from the ground up, grow it through persistent outreach and new business development, and have the opportunity to build a long-term career in consumer electronics with a recognized global leader.

Job Responsibilities:

-New Business Development: Prospect persistently by phone to identify and open new wholesale, retail, and e-commerce buyers, turning first conversations into repeat business. -Inventory Placement: Partner with purchasing to stay on top of incoming and available inventory, and move quickly to match product to the buyers most likely to purchase. -Negotiate & Close: Quote competitive pricing, handle objections, and ask for the order, closing deals that work for the customer and protect PCS margins. -Account Growth: Manage and expand existing accounts, learning each customer's needs and buying patterns to increase order frequency and revenue. -Product & Market Expertise: Know PCS, our product lines, pricing, and market trends well enough to advise buyers and clearly communicate the value of what you sell. -Order Follow-Through: Own customer communication from quote to delivery, working with purchasing, operations, logistics, and marketing so every order ships accurately and on time. -Pipeline & Reporting: Log all activity in the CRM, maintain an accurate pipeline, and report forecasts and results to the Head of Accessories.

Skills and Requirements

-Proven Sales Results: A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a quota-carrying role. -Phone-Based Sales Experience: 3+ years in inside sales, wholesale, or B2B sales where most of your selling was done by phone. -Tech Skills: Proficient with CRM tools, Microsoft Excel, and email, and quick to learn new systems. -Onsite Availability: Able to work onsite at our New Jersey office, Monday through Friday. -Natural Closer: You ask for the order. You're comfortable negotiating price and pushing to close on the call instead of letting deals drift, and you don't need to meet in person to build trust. -Resilient & Persistent: You bring the same energy to your last call of the day as your first. Rejection doesn't slow you down, and you measure your day by what you closed, not by how busy you were. -Results-Driven: You're motivated by targets and by earnings that reflect your performance. -Relationship Builder: You earn trust quickly and build lasting customer relationships through consistent, reliable service. -Organized & Disciplined: You manage many accounts, quotes, and priorities at once and follow up promptly on every one, because timely follow-through is what wins and keeps business. -Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with mobile accessories, consumer electronics, or related wholesale markets, including today's top smartphone, tablet, and accessory brands. -Secondary-Market Experience: Experience selling excess, closeout, or secondary-market inventory. -Market Curiosity: Genuine interest in consumer technology and retail trends.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or the recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
