Mechanical Design EngineerPosition Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of innovative products. This role partners closely with Product Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable solutions. The ideal candidate will contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, implementation, and product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and improve mechanical products to enhance performance, manufacturability, and serviceability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Support new product development, product modifications, and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
Conduct engineering calculations, product validation, testing, and analysis.
Participate in proto@type development, fabrication, and evaluation activities.
Investigate product failures and partner with Quality teams to implement corrective actions.
Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders, providing troubleshooting and product support.
Work with Supply Chain to identify cost-effective materials and components.
Maintain engineering data and documentation within ERP/MRP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product design, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and technical staff when needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
At least 2 years of experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and/or Creo (Pro/ENGINEER).
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, and product development processes.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of steel alloys, material properties, tolerances, and strength calculations.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
Experience with product testing, validation, and proto@type development.
Experience supporting engineering change management processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
