Construction General Laborer

Thrasher, Inc • Springfield, MO • 4h ago

The More You Master, The More You Make.

Since 1975 Thrasher has been redefining what it means to be a contractor. We are a family-owned company with locations across the U.S. specializing in waterproofing, foundations, and concrete repair and we are on a mission to deliver a WOW experience in an industry known for mediocrity. We believe fulfilling work creates fulfilling lives, and we back that up by investing in our people, challenging the status quo, and creating real opportunities for growth. We are not looking for someone to fill a seat; we are looking for leaders who want to make an impact.

Starting Pay: $17-$21/hour, depending on experience, plus bonus potential.

High-Earning Potential: With strong performance, bonus-eligible crew members earn an average of $35-$55/hour total compensation. There's no cap, so your earning potential grows with your success!

The Role & Core Responsibilities

As a construction team member, you will:

Learn. Start as an Installer, no experience required. We train you on every tool, process, and safety standard from day one.

Master. Move from Installer to Lead Installer to Team Lead based on skill, not tenure. The better you get, the faster you move.

Earn. Once you're a Lead Installer or Team Lead, your crew's efficiency drives an uncapped bonus. Skill shows up in your paycheck, not just your title.

Make Customers Happy. Follow our Customer Messaging and Production Core Process and leave every home cleaner than you found it.

Get Work Done. Review job specs, load the truck, complete the installation at or below the defined labor percentage, and collect payment when the job is done.

Stay Safe. Work safely and consistently and call out safety concerns the moment you see them.

Why Choose Thrasher

A real path up: Installer to Lead Installer to Team Lead isn't a talking point here. It's a 30% annual promotion rate.

Overtime pays out: Extra hours mean extra pay. Every time.

Weekends are yours: Early start, early end, Monday through Friday. No weekend work.

Year-round stability: 50+ years, zero seasonal layoffs. We've only grown.

Uncapped earning potential: Once you're a Lead Installer or Team Lead, your crew's efficiency drives your bonus. Top performers earn up to $150,000 annually, with no cap.

Full benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with 5% match, 2 weeks PTO, holiday pay, and per diem for overnight travel.

Our Core Values

At Thrasher Group, we don't just talk about our values, we live them. We are looking for people who share them:

One Team: We have the right kind of ambition by putting the good of the team above ourselves. We own the whole.

People Smart: We are sincere and trust each other's intentions. We value EQ over IQ.

Hungry Spirit: We have a bias for action and a scrappy way of getting things done. We refuse to be complacent.

Humble Heart: We are vulnerable and authentic, and we value simplicity. No job is beneath us.

One Community: We advocate for our community and return the blessings we've been given.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to read materials, communicate with others, and use a computer/tablet about 75-100% of the time.

Ability to move around, inspect things at lower levels, and drive 24% - 49% of the time.

The job consists of 40% sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, 30% light work with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, 20% medium work with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and 10% heavy work with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.

Thrasher Group and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All employment offers are contingent upon successful background checks. Employment history, education, and other relevant information may be verified during the hiring process.
