Joining the Metallus team means becoming part of a legacy that dates back over a century. We are an industry leader, manufacturing the cleanest steel in the world for companies in the industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, and energy markets.

This position is eligible to receive a sign-on bonus and retention bonus upon hire.

This position does not require travel.

Relocation may be offered for this position.

Why This Role Matters

At Metallus, electrical engineering isn't a support function-it's mission-critical infrastructure. Our Canton campuses operate complex medium-voltage power systems that directly enable the production of the cleanest steel in the world, serving aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, and energy markets.

As Substation Engineer Lead, you will be the technical authority for medium-voltage power distribution-owning system reliability, modernization, protection, power quality, and long-term asset strategy across the site. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an engineer who wants real ownership of large-scale electrical systems, not just designs on paper.

What You'll Own

You will lead the engineering, reliability, and evolution of Metallus's medium-voltage power distribution systems-from incoming utility interfaces and substations to protection schemes, SCADA, and plant-wide power quality.
