Summary The purpose of this position is to support the War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC) mission of advancing post deployment health through education, clinical consultation, and research by planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating training for clinicians, care teams, and Veterans. This position is within VA New Jersey Health Care System in East Orange, NJ. Design and develop learning solutions, instructional systems design (ISD) and evidence-based methods Produce instructor and participant guides Review and update facilitator and presenter guides and presenter guides for WRIISC's webinar series Facilitate live training (virtual, webinar, hybrid, and classroom) to multi-disciplinary clinical audiences Coordinate subject matter experts (SME) to co-facilitate sessions Manage questions and answers for high volume national sessions Implement multi-level training evaluation Review historical data on education metrics for Veteran education classes to determine trends Manage enrollment, completions, and transcripts of courses and learning records Collaborate with WRIISC clinical services, research teams to align training Performs other duties as assigned If selected, you will be required to complete training for Level 1 and Level 2 Certification in Military Environmental Exposures. Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements below. Examples of qualifying specialized experience, earned in a clinical or healthcare environment, include teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a training program; developing or reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc.; evaluating training results; working in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis; designing and developing learning solutions using adult learning theory; producing instructor and participant guides; facilitating live training (virtual, webinar, hybrid, and classroom) to multi-disciplinary clinical audiences; managing questions and answers for high-volume national sessions; implementing multi-level training evaluation; managing enrollment, completions, transcript courses, and learning records; and/or working as a subject-matter expert in the field of Training Specialist - Research - War Related Illness. OR EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Possess a master's degree or 2 years of progressively higher-level graduation education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one (1) year of full-time study.
