CAD Designer
Location: Racine, WI
Pay: $25-$40 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time; overtime may be available as needed
Build systems that make a difference
We're looking for a detail-oriented CAD Designer to help turn engineering concepts into accurate 3D models and production-ready drawings for commercial, institutional, and industrial water equipment. You'll work closely with project engineers and other teams, using markups, existing drawings, and project documentation to develop complete designs.
Inventor experience is a plus, but strong experience with SolidWorks or Creo is readily transferable. We're especially interested in designers who have worked with equipment or systems involving piping, tanks, or similar components. Candidates with six or more years of 3D CAD experience are encouraged to apply; we'll also consider driven candidates earlier in their careers who are eager to learn and contribute.
What you'll do
Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor, based on project guidance, markups, existing drawings, and written specifications.
Occasionally support 2D AutoCAD drawings for electrical panels, including wiring diagrams, in coordination with the electrical engineer.
Check drawings for completeness and accuracy.
Generate bills of materials from 3D drawings.
Maintain and update the standards drawing library.
Provide design support to sales, procurement, and manufacturing.
Contribute to product development and other projects as needed.
What you bring
An associate degree in CAD drafting or a related field, and/or six years of 3D CAD design experience.
3D modeling experience; Inventor is preferred, while SolidWorks or Creo experience is also relevant.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret markups and technical documentation.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to resolving issues.
Experience with commercial or industrial water treatment equipment is a plus.
Experience designing equipment or systems that include piping, tanks, or related components is a strong advantage.
Compensation and benefits
The hourly pay range is $25-$40 , depending on experience. The position may include overtime as business needs require, along with:
Quarterly profit sharing.
401(k) with company contribution
Medical and dental insurance
Flexible spending plan
Life insurance
Paid vacation
