It's more than a job
As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. And by transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods, you are making small and big moments possible for people all around the world. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.
As an Air Logistics Revenue Care Specialist, you will help ensure the financial accuracy of our air freight operations by reviewing shipment costs and revenue, resolving discrepancies, supporting billing activities, and identifying opportunities to improve processes. This role requires someone who can look beyond the numbers, investigate why something does not add up, and confidently work across teams to get issues resolved.
How you create impact
You will work closely with operational, customer care, finance, sales, and global teams to ensure shipment files are financially accurate and billing processes are completed correctly and efficiently.
Review shipment files, costs, rates, and revenue for accuracy before billing
Produce invoices and confirm expected gross profit and financial information
Perform Financial Status Log activities, including month-end closing responsibilities
Research billing discrepancies and determine whether charges, rates, or supporting information are incorrect
Review rate cards, spot quotes, service levels, and other supporting documentation to validate charges
Work with internal and global teams to resolve cost and revenue discrepancies
Coordinate with Operational Care regarding carrier, hauler, supplier, and third-party costs
Coordinate with Customer Care regarding charges billed to customers
Support resolution of invoice challenges and other financial discrepancies
Partner with Sales and Customer Care teams on credit limit adjustments as needed
Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve processes rather than repeatedly correcting the same problems
Support automation and process-improvement initiatives within Revenue Care
Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality financial data
Help ensure processes and working instructions are followed consistently
What we would like you to bring
You are analytical, comfortable working with financial information, and naturally inclined to investigate when something does not look right. You can work independently while also communicating confidently with people across different teams, even when they do not report directly to you.
2-5 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, finance, accounting, billing, logistics, or a related environment
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Ability to review costs, rates, invoices, or other financial information and identify discrepancies
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
