Summary About the Position: Serves as the Supply Management Specialist for U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS), Fort Bragg, NC. Responsibilities Receives, issues, and inspects incoming and outgoing standard and non-standard weapons (and associated items of equipment) for damages, accountability, and cleanliness. Develops and implements internal control systems so that main vault armament resources are efficiently and effectively managed Maintains accurate accounting and reporting systems for non-expendable property and performs all the routine phases of property management. Prepares a variety of inventory management reports required for different categories of property. Reviews mission support requirements and procedures to ensure that policies and regulations are being followed. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Maintain accountability, security, and control of sensitive and non-expendable equipment, including armament systems and associated equipment, through accurate hand-receipt management, inventories, property records, storage, issue, receipt, transfer, and disposition, 2) Analyze requests and inventory records to determine validity and supportability, coordinate resources and logistics requirements, and use automated supply and property management systems to provide accurate information and timely support to customers and higher headquarters, 3) Research and conduct causative analysis of property and inventory discrepancies identified through physical inventories, denials, reports of survey, or other accountability actions; make appropriate adjustments and recommend corrective measures, and 4) Develop and implement internal controls, standard operating procedures, inventory management plans, and workflow improvements to ensure efficient and effective management of organizational property Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
