Description

Our client, a distinguished provider of high-end, personalized funeral and memorial services, is seeking a polished, compassionate, and service-oriented Client Service Specialist to join their team in the 90045 area.

This individual will serve as the first point of contact for clients and families, providing an exceptional, personalized experience during sensitive and emotional times. The ideal candidate will bring the professionalism and presentation of a luxury retail or hospitality environment, combined with genuine empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide clients through funeral and memorial service arrangements with care and discretion.

We are seeking someone who is articulate, emotionally intelligent, organized, and naturally attentive to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and families, delivering a warm, professional, and personalized service experience.

Assist clients with funeral, memorial, and mortuary service arrangements, explaining available options, services, and next steps with compassion and clarity.

Communicate professionally and effectively in person, over the phone, and through email, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout the process.

Provide a high level of customer care while handling sensitive conversations with empathy, patience, and discretion.

Coordinate appointments, service details, client inquiries, documentation, and follow-up communications.

Maintain accurate client records and ensure all arrangements and requests are handled with attention to detail.

Anticipate client needs and provide thoughtful solutions while maintaining the elevated service standards of a luxury environment.

Collaborate with internal teams and service providers to ensure a seamless and respectful client experience.

Maintain a polished, welcoming, and professional presence at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in luxury retail, high-end customer service, hospitality, concierge services, boutique sales, or client relations.

Exceptional English communication skills, including professional grammar, spelling, written correspondence, and verbal communication.

Highly articulate, polished, and professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.

Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate with sensitivity and compassion when working with grieving families.

A naturally empathetic, patient, and service-oriented personality.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client requests and maintain accurate documentation.

Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and composed in sensitive situations.

Professional appearance, discretion, and a commitment to providing an elevated client experience.

Comfortable learning funeral service offerings, mortuary procedures, and client arrangement processes.
