The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Chief Administrative Officer Aaron Hood, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.
Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $55,000 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job:
This position serves as Accountant 1 - Grants, with the Indiana Supreme Court's Finance Department. Working with state and federal grants, thorough review of financials reports, applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and working with PeopleSoft Financials. This position will be heavily involved in the State's new grant management system.
A Day in the Life:
Assists in processing quarterly grant reports, reviewing general ledgers for accuracy and quality control, analyzing and reporting on variances. Manages grant funded expenditure including coordinating with Judges and Program Coordinators across the state. Duties also include invoice/payment processing, requisitions, purchase orders, and reimbursements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reconciling state grant reports and being a point of contact for Judges and program coordinators. This includes both pre and post award phases.
Track expenses and revenue against grant budgets. Provide financial reports and budget feedback to program staff.
Create and maintain projects in PeopleSoft (PS) accounting system and future Grant Management Systems or grant funds. Reconcile expenses and revenue.
Request payment/draws from granting agencies in their systems.
Research and resolve grant and project issues and report results to stakeholders.
Assist Fiscal managers/officers in regularly reconciling PS accounts.
Ensure transactions are processed consistently with established policies and procedures.
Escalate potential financial risks to appropriate management.
Ensure strong internal and external communications on status, issues, and expectations.
Seek continuing education opportunities for grant related topics, where applicable Additional duties as assigned.
