FTE: 0.001000 Standard Hours:8.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: varying start times between 0530 and 0900 Holidays: none Weekends: none Job Summary: Provides direct and indirect nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, determining the objectives of nursing care within the framework of the physician\'s plan of medical care, the patient\'s needs, standards of nursing practice, legal regulations and ambulatory surgery center policies and procedures. He/she will perform other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality of performance. Other information: EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: A minimum of 1 year in Med/Surg, ambulatory surgery, PACU, or OR nursing is preferred. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. EDUCATION PREFERRED: Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing is preferred. LICENSURE REQUIRED: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire. LICENSURE PREFERRED: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
