Adecco Medical & Science is hiring a Medical Office Assistant for our client in Newark, NJ.

Position Details

Job Type: Long-term temporary/contract role

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $19.00-$20.75/hour (21.00/hour)

Location: Newark, NJ

Job Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.

Explain clinic procedures, answer routine questions, and help facilitate adherence to appointment schedules.

Schedule, cancel, and confirm patient appointments according to department guidelines.

Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and direct callers to the appropriate department or staff member.

Assist with billing procedures and related forms.

Assist with preparing documents and forms sent to or received from referring physicians.

Follow proper patient identification policies and procedures.

Maintain positive customer relationships while adhering to department guidelines.

Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Associate degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible clerical experience , including receptionist and scheduling responsibilities.

Previous medical office experience preferred.

Experience with medical billing preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic registration/medical record systems.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small-group settings.

Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.75 per hour
