Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler Job Description

The Warehouse Material Handler will coordinate shipping and receiving functions at our facility. This role involves managing dock organization, handling shipping supplies, and addressing any issues that arise in shipping or inventory handling. Additional responsibilities include retaining and scanning documentation, sending communications to employees, scheduling pick-ups with vendors, and monitoring shipments in transit. Proficiency in data entry using Excel is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate shipping and receiving functions, including outbound and inbound calls.

Manage dock organization and shipping supplies.

Handle issues in shipping or inventory handling.

Retain and scan documentation and send communications to employees.

Schedule pick-ups with vendors and monitor shipments in transit.

Perform data entry using Excel.

Essential Skills

Warehouse operations with emphasis on cycle counts and inventory control.

Data entry proficiency, particularly in Excel.

Ability to cross-function across various departments, including Inventory and ERP systems.

3-5 years of logistics and/or warehouse experience.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Expert in high-volume inventory management.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with ERP/WMS (Warehouse Management System).

Strong proficiency in cycle counts.

Work Environment

Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with a team comprising 1 manager and 4 team members. The team is expanding significantly, with plans to hire more team members over the next two months to ensure effective training. Enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative, and flexible work culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
