Job Title: General Construction / Warehouse Laborer Job Description
This role supports daily operations in an industrial warehouse environment by maintaining cleanliness throughout the plant and performing a wide range of general labor tasks. You will help keep the facility safe and organized, assist with inventory activities, and handle materials and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
Responsibilities
Perform general plant clean-up to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Assist with inventory counting and basic material tracking to support accurate stock control.
Load and unload trucks manually and with forklift assistance, following proper safety procedures.
Move and handle barrels and other industrial materials safely throughout the facility.
Support various general labor tasks as assigned by supervisors, including production, packaging, cleaning, and painting.
Follow all company safety procedures, guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.
Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
Manage time and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform manual labor in a fast-paced industrial or warehouse setting.
Capability to handle physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions within a non-climate-controlled facility.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with consistent attendance and punctuality.
Attention to cleanliness and organization in work areas.
Basic inventory and counting skills to support material tracking.
Safe material handling skills, especially when working with barrels and industrial materials.
Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements consistently.
Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with others.
Time management and task prioritization skills to meet operational needs.
Steel-toe boots, as required for the role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift experience (preferred but not required).
Willingness to learn forklift operation if not already experienced.
Experience in general labor, production, packaging, cleaning, or painting is beneficial.
Comfort working in a warehouse and industrial environment.
No certifications or medical tests are required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
