Position Summary
The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing Stanley Martin Homes' email marketing and lifecycle communications strategy. This role owns the email channel from strategy through execution, leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver personalized, data-driven experiences that drive engagement, lead conversion and business results. The Email Marketing Manager oversees email programs across the customer journey, including lead nurture, re-engagement, transactional communications and post-inquiry follow-up. This role partners closely with Customer Acquisition, Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology, Analytics, Content and Sales to ensure email programs support customer engagement, qualified lead generation and revenue growth.
Responsibilities and Duties
Own the email and lifecycle strategy across divisions and metro markets - acquisition, nurture, re-engagement and post-inquiry follow-up.
Build and manage campaigns and automated journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder).
Design journeys that move a lead from inquiry to qualified handoff, with clear entry, exit and handoff criteria.
Own segmentation and personalization through SQL, AMPscript and dynamic content, and keep audience data clean, compliant and current.
Ensure email deliverability, maintain sender reputation, manage authentication protocols, and uphold CAN-SPAM compliance across all email communications.
Measure email's contribution to lead quality, appointments and net contracts - not open rates in isolation - through GA4, Looker and Salesforce, and run a disciplined testing and optimization program.
Manage, coach and develop direct reports while building a high-performing team.
Complete all other duties as assigned by manager.
Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications.

Position Standards
People leadership experience.
Proven skills in email deliverability, sender reputation and audience governance.
Ability to translate email marketing performance data into actionable insights and measurable business outcomes through effective use of analytics and attribution.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or a related field.
5-7+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing or marketing automation, with 3+ years hands-on in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder).
Working command of SQL and AMPscript for segmentation and personalization.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other Salesforce certifications, and Data Cloud experience.
GA4, Looker and marketing attribution platforms.
Homebuilding, real estate or another high-consideration purchase category.
Experience building, scaling or transforming an email marketing function.
Experience evaluating and adopting AI-enabled marketing and personalization tools.

This position pays between $111,500.00 to $129,000.00 annually plus bonus.
