Director of Research Operations Clinical and Translational Science Institute - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26005965) The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for a Director of Research Operations. This researcher will be responsible for: - Showing representation at scientific meetings: Formally representing the team at various scientific conferences and professional gatherings. - Collaborative Initiatives: Engaging directly on strategic initiatives within the Precision Medicine, International Initiatives, Primary Care, and Precision Community Engagement teams. - Grant and Manuscript Development: Leading/co-leading grant writing for upcoming projects, such as the R01. - Project Oversight/leadership: Managing the design and implementation of research projects and oversee diverse teams of students and staff. There will be potential for patient/participant exposure with the need to work in multiple settings including clinical and research spaces. Candidate must be able to complete all CITI modules and obtain relevant access as needed for credentialling in the UPMC electronic health record. Job Summary Leads a team and directs & oversees all operational aspects of the research program. Establishes and drives the vision, policies, fiscal functions, administration, and strategic plan of a research program to support the delivery of high-quality research services and ensure compliance with established professional, regulatory, and organizational standards and requirements. Formulates budgets and performs associated financial duties. Collaborates with and advises internal and external stakeholders and ensures adherence to regulations. Translates strategic plans into research operational plans oversees administrative matters. Essential Functions Ability to operate a PC and communicate effectively verbally and in written form with a various people. Telephone skills, computer and keyboard skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Ability to be flexible in location assignment. Ability to participate in face to face or virtual meetings. Ability to connect with diverse groups of people. Physical Effort Position will require standing or sitting for work with reasonable mobility to navigate location site and clinical exam space.
