Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day payment operations for a hybrid position to support an entertainment client to cover for a maternity leave. This role focuses on processing invoices accurately, maintaining organized financial records, and helping ensure vendors are paid on time through established payment methods. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, confidence working with coded invoices, and hands-on experience handling core accounts payable activities.

Responsibilities:

Review and process incoming invoices with accurate general ledger coding and proper documentation.

Manage accounts payable transactions from receipt through payment while maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Prepare and execute vendor payments using methods such as ACH and check runs according to scheduled deadlines.

Verify invoice details against supporting records to resolve discrepancies before payment is released.

Maintain organized accounts payable files and update payment records to support reporting and audit readiness.

Communicate with vendors and internal teams to answer payment questions and follow up on outstanding items.

Requirements - Proven experience performing accounts payable duties in a fast-paced business environment.

Strong knowledge of invoice coding, account coding, and standard AP workflows.

Hands-on experience processing ACH payments and supporting routine check runs.

Ability to review financial details carefully and identify errors or inconsistencies.

Comfortable working with accounting systems and maintaining accurate transactional records.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
