Medical Assistant

Are you a compassionate Medical Assistant who enjoys making a difference in patients' lives? We're looking for a friendly, reliable Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team and help provide excellent patient-centered care!

Position Details

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay: $23.00-$26.00/hour

Employment: Full-Time | 40 hours/week | In-Office

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM

Schedule: Must have flexibility to work opening and closing shifts and up to 2 Saturdays per month

Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 25% to other clinic locations

What You'll Do

Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen levels

Update patient medical, social, and medication histories

Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and appointments

Perform EKGs, spirometry, hearing, vision, and other clinical testing

Collect and process blood and other specimens, including venipuncture

Prepare and administer vaccines under provider direction

Document patient information, messages, and refill requests in the EMR

Maintain clinical equipment, supplies, and required logs

Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and prepared for patients

Report patient observations and concerns to the appropriate provider

Support laboratory operations, including proper specimen labeling and processing

Participate in team huddles, trainings, meetings, and quality assurance activities

Provide a positive, professional, and patient-centered experience

What We're Looking For

High school diploma/GED or equivalent

2-4 years of Medical Assistant experience

Current Medical Assistant certification required

Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification through in-person training

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and standard precautions

Ability to work with patients of all ages

Phlebotomy certification or eligibility to obtain certification is preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Experience with OB/GYN, pediatrics, or HIV/AIDS healthcare settings is preferred

Pay Details: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour
