Job Title: Press Operator - 2nd Shift - entry level

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Press Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves working with injection molding machines and hot presses to produce rubber parts for the aerospace industry. Successful candidates will begin by training on the 2nd shift, with hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and may occasionally be required to work until 1:00 AM or on Saturdays.

$18.50/hr

Responsibilities

Mold parts according to written specifications provided.

Remove parts, clean tools, load the press with materials for a new cycle, and inspect molded parts frequently.

Place products in manufacturing tote boxes.

Operate presses in an efficient and timely manner, meeting quality and quantity requirements.

Mold at a rate consistent with or exceeding the standard production level.

Ensure the quality of parts produced meets department and customer standards.

Provide accurate production information.

Willingness to work in manufacturing and with the company long-term.

Mechanical aptitude.

Spanish language proficiency is acceptable.

No previous experience or resume needed for entry-level positions.

Work Environment

The work environment is a lean six sigma facility that is highly organized and equipped with injection molding machines and hot presses to produce rubber parts for the aerospace industry. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature with AC units running at all times, despite the heat from the machines. It is an ITAR facility, ensuring a place for everything from products to office supplies. The company is inclusive, welcoming individuals from all cultural backgrounds, with many managers fluent in Spanish.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
