Gift Card Sales Manager

Position Purpose:

The Gift Card Sales Manager is highly strategic, results-driven, and collaborative Manager, Gift Card Sales, to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle, profitability, and expansion of our enterprise Gift Card program. Acting as the central hub for our physical Stores and online gift card malls, Third-Party distribution networks, and B2B channels, this role balances broad portfolio management with targeted sales execution and accountability.

The primary purpose of this role is to maximize sales growth across all available channels, optimize a robust marketing budget, and materially increase overall portfolio profitability. By leveraging deep industry and aggregator expertise, the Manager will develop strategies that strengthen relationships with existing high value partners and build long-term customer loyalty. The ideal candidate must be a natural problem-solver who can analyze market trends, resolve complex operational hurdles, deliver top-tier customer service, and seamlessly pivot between retail merchandising strategy, digital product operations, B2B sales development, and Third-Party distribution strategies at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities:

30% Customer Focus & Relationship Management - Partner with bulk B2B vendor to develop and implement an outside sales plan to expand the business, service the existing customer base to build relationships, increase account value, and establish net-new corporate customers. Manage ongoing Direct Connect customer relationships and continuously prospect for net-new B2B opportunities.

15% Marketing Budget, Analytics & Market Intelligence - Manage the annual Marketing budget, strategically allocating funds across incremental placements and promotions between all sales channels. Partner closely with data analytics teams to run profitability models, review sales dashboards, and analyze current market information/post-promotional metrics. Communicate weekly sales updates directly to Payment's leadership. Gather and share market and competitor intelligence with all applicable channels within the company to protect and grow market share.

25% Stores & eCommerce - Maintain and build strategic partnerships with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of gift card strategies. Plan and execute annual Gift Card Mall projects, major resets, and fixture initiatives. Oversee HD.com gift card operations, ensuring correct digital and physical fulfillment via partners, managing API/site refresh cadences, leading new 3P product set-up and mapping.

30% Third-Party & Strategic Partnerships - Serve as the day-to-day strategic contact for leading gift card aggregators and strategic Digital Distribution Partners / Financial Institutions. Identify new expansion and product opportunities across all third-party distribution channels and partners. Represent the brand at major industry summits and events.

This Position typically reports to Sr. Manager, Gift Cards.

This Position has 2 direct reports.

Travel Requirements :

Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

5+ years of dedicated experience in gift card program management, B2B sales, or payment networks.

Deep understanding of Closed Loop vs. Open Loop gift cards, B2B/B2C channels, physical/digital fulfillment rails, and gift card fraud mitigation.

Proven track record of managing strategic vendor relationships, specifically with major industry aggregators and corporate incentive networks.

Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Preferred Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
