Job Title: Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift
Job Description
The 1st shift Warehouse Associate performs a mix of manual and automated tasks to ensure accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This role handles key warehouse functions including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
Responsibilities
Pick and pack customer orders accurately using Radio Frequency (RF) handheld terminals.
Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
Stock and replenish inventory using RF handheld terminals.
Process orders and transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Receive orders and finished goods in WMS using RF terminals, ensuring accurate documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Handle palletizing and material handling tasks, including lifting boxes and moving product as needed.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, order pickers, reach trucks, turret trucks, and other powered industrial equipment once certified.
Support general warehouse activities including shipping and receiving, inventory control, and general production tasks.
Collaborate with team members across different departments to meet productivity and quality goals.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability, especially during peak season and scheduled weekend shifts.
Follow all safety procedures and use hand tools and equipment in accordance with training and company standards.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, production, or material handling environment.
At least 6 months of equipment operating experience, preferably with reach truck or turret truck equipment.
Proficiency using RF scanners or RF handheld terminals for picking, packing, and inventory tasks.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes, palletizing, loading and unloading trucks and containers.
Basic familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for processing and receiving orders.
Strong commitment to reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work 1st shift hours (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) and every other Saturday during peak season, including Black Friday and the following weekend.
Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accuracy in order picking and inventory control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
6 months to 2 years of equipment operating experience, with reach truck or turret truck experience strongly preferred.
Experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment.
Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations.
Comfort using hand tools and working in a general production environment.
Willingness to obtain and maintain certification on powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, walkies, and turret trucks.
Ability to work effectively with a team of 25-30 associates across multiple departments.

Work Environment
This role is based in a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse that may feel cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer. The assignment covers the peak season from October through January, with associates expected to work every other Saturday in November and December, as well as on Black Friday and the Saturday and Sunday that follow. You will work alongside approximately 25-30 team members in various departments, using RF scanners, Warehouse Management Systems, pallet jacks, reach trucks, turret trucks, and other powered industrial equipment in a modern facility. The dress code includes work pants or shorts and shirts without holes, along with closed-toe shoes to support safety and comfort on the warehouse floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
