_STATE PROFILE SUMMARY:_Under limited supervision, provides expert level professional support in one or more of the following areas: traffic, planning, OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, utilities, surveying, or environmental.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Underlimited supervision, supports theDesign Traffic Forecasting team in performingtrafficstudies and managing traffic projection requests.
· Plans, schedulesanddeterminesworkpriorities of internal and external consultantsto complete traffic forecasting requests in a timely manner.
· Supports development of deliverables and facilitates traffic data includingbaseand designyearaveragedailytraffic,design hourvolumesand truck percentages,forusein thedesignandenvironmentalclearanceoftransportationsystems.
· Supports development of trafficgrowth rate determinationforsimple to mediumcomplexityprojects using outputs and concepts from GDOT's various travel demand models.
· Analyzesexistingtrafficdatato determinetraffic movements.
· Requests special trafficinformation neededfortrafficprojection requests.
· Administersallaspects ofconsultantcontract(s), ofwhich theirstaffalso performsall trafficstudy-related tasks on behalfoftheOffice of Planning.
· Performsrecord keeping inaccordancewith standards oftheOffice of Planning.
· Communicates with subject matter experts, FHWA, GDOT project management teams,consultants,and other offices withintheDepartment to provideinformation onongoingprojects.
· Facilitates Interchange Access Justification Report (IAJR) development and coordination.
· Manages multiple @types of planning services contracts with statewide level scope involving the interstate system.
· Promotes and supports transportation planning initiatives and innovation through cross-functional training, outreach, and collaboration within the Office of Planning and throughout the Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications.
