Job Title: Electrical Foreman Job Description
The Electrical Foreman oversees field electrical work with a strong focus on conduit and pipe bending, wire pulling, apartment rough-in, and installation of electrical boxes and EMT. This role leads crews in reading and executing plans and prints, performing wiring and troubleshooting, installing and configuring three-way switches and generators, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise electrical crews on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and codes.
Perform pipe and EMT bending for various electrical installations, including apartments and commercial spaces.
Coordinate and execute MC and BX wire pulling, including roughing in apartments and routing wiring through conduit and electrical boxes.
Interpret and work from electrical plans and prints, ensuring accurate layout and installation of conduit, wiring, and fixtures.
Install, connect, and troubleshoot wiring systems, outlets, switches, panels, and related electrical components.
Configure and troubleshoot three-way switches and other complex switching arrangements.
Oversee installation and connection of generators and related equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues in the field, providing guidance and solutions to team members.
Lay out conduit runs, electrical box locations, and wiring paths based on blueprints and site conditions.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements.
Coordinate daily activities, including start times, task assignments, and communication with site contacts.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working order and ensure crews are properly equipped.
Support training and development of electricians and mechanics, helping them progress toward lead and supervisory roles.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates on progress, issues, and resource needs.
Essential Skills
5-10 years of experience in electrical work, including field installation and troubleshooting.
Strong proficiency in conduit and pipe bending, including EMT and other conduit @types.
Demonstrated experience with MC and BX wire pulling and apartment rough-in work.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints and prints.
Hands-on experience with wiring installation, including outlets, switches, panels, and fixtures.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and resolving issues in the field.
Experience installing and configuring three-way switches and similar switching systems.
Knowledge and experience with generator installation and connection.
OSHA 30 certification.
SST 10 certification.
Ability to perform accurate layout for conduit runs, electrical boxes, and wiring paths.
Experience as a journeyman electrician, lead electrician, or electrical mechanic.
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working as a foreman or in a leadership capacity on electrical construction projects.
Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple electricians and mechanics on active job sites.
Strong communication skills for interacting with crews and site contacts.
Ability to manage time effectively and ensure crews are prepared and on-site before start times.
Attention to detail in executing layouts, bends, and terminations to meet project specifications.

Work Environment
This role is based on an active construction site with a typical start time of 7:00 a.m., with arrival expected by 6:30 a.m. Work is performed in a field environment that requires full PPE at all times and adherence to site safety protocols. The position involves hands-on electrical installation, conduit bending, wire pulling, and troubleshooting using standard electrical tools in accordance with a defined tool list. Enhanced onboarding is provided to familiarize new team members with site procedures, safety expectations, and equipment use.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
