Specialist - Brooklyn & Queens Electric Operations

Required Education/Experience

High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience in a relevant business or technical area or

Associate's Degree and four years of experience in a relevant business or technical area or

Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in a relevant business or technical area.

Relevant Work Experience

General experience in Electric Construction or Electric Operations, preferred.

Prior supervisory experience, preferred.

Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills

Effective leadership skills

Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents

Maintains a high degree of professionalism

Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities

Licenses and Certifications

Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must push, pull, lift up to 25 pounds.

Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift.

Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift.

Must be available to report in-person during company emergencies/ICS (Incident Command System) events by performing a System Emergency Assignment. This includes traveling to company locations as necessary to support restoration efforts on morning/night 12 hour shifts. This requirement ensures operational effectiveness and continuity, particularly in response to critical events where in-person coordination is necessary.
