Customer Service Representative

Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a busy service operation in Charlotte, North Carolina within the wholesale distribution industry. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with customers throughout the day, and confident handling scheduling, order coordination, and administrative detail. The person in this role will help keep service activity moving smoothly by responding to inquiries, arranging technician visits, and maintaining accurate records across service-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

Respond to incoming customer calls and messages, provide timely assistance, and gather the details needed to address service-related needs.

Coordinate service appointments by building daily schedules and matching requests with available technicians.

Distribute work assignments to field personnel using scheduling systems and spreadsheets while considering service regions and route efficiency.

Prepare and update service orders and sales-related documentation with a high level of accuracy.

Finalize completed service records promptly and ensure all information is properly entered and documented.

Collect customer payment details when required and record the information securely and accurately.

Maintain organized notes on customer interactions, service updates, and appointment changes for internal reference.

Use company tools, reference materials, and field service applications to support dispatching, routing, and service coordination.

Communicate with internal teams and technicians to help resolve scheduling conflicts, service delays, and order-related questions. Requirements - Prior experience in customer service, call handling, or service coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Background in scheduling, dispatching, or appointment management for service-based operations.

Strong computer skills, including hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry.

Ability to @type efficiently with consistent accuracy while managing detailed information.

Clear verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to customer interactions.

Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to balance multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

Experience documenting service requests, customer conversations, and order details thoroughly.

Familiarity with the local area and dependable transportation is preferred. TalentMatch®
