Description

We are looking for an HR Contractor to provide hands-on support across payroll and human resources operations at a manufacturing site in Ohio. This role is suited to someone who can move confidently between detailed payroll processing, employee support, benefits coordination, and core HR administration in a structured, process-driven environment. The position is fully onsite and will play a key part in maintaining continuity during a contract coverage period while supporting day-to-day people operations.

Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll activities for multiple employee groups, including biweekly processing, manual reconciliation tasks, data validation, and issue resolution.

Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records in Workday, ensuring changes are entered accurately and completed within required deadlines.

Review timecards and approvals to confirm payroll readiness and follow up with managers or employees when corrections are needed.

Support leave administration and benefits-related activities by coordinating with external administrators and helping employees navigate related processes.

Contribute to talent programs and HR workflows in Workday, including testing, administration, and support for upcoming performance or talent review activities.

Provide broad HR operational support through employee communication, policy guidance, onboarding coordination, and day-to-day administrative assistance.

Assist with recruiting efforts as needed, which may include candidate coordination, early-stage screening, or full-cycle hiring support depending on experience level.

Partner closely with internal stakeholders to preserve compliance, maintain process discipline, and ensure sensitive employee data is handled with care and accuracy.

Requirements - Experience balancing both payroll responsibilities and general HR support within a fast-paced business environment.

Proficiency with Workday, including HRIS updates, payroll-related transactions, and process tracking.

Ability to process full-cycle payroll with strong accuracy, including reconciliation and manual payroll components.

Knowledge of timekeeping, leave administration, benefits coordination, and employee records management.

Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a high level of dependability when handling confidential information.

Comfortable working in a highly structured, procedure-oriented setting with consistent deadlines and controls.

Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across employees, managers, and third-party partners.

Background in recruiting support, ADP, onboarding, or Canadian payroll is helpful but not required. TalentMatch®
