The Senior Director, Medical Affairs will be a strong leader with important contribution to the Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid (TMTT) business unit to set/directly influence the Medical Affairs strategy and accomplish objectives through leading the work of direct reports and broader team.

You will make an impact by:

Direct medical affairs activities (e.g., scientific communications, medical information & scientific support for claims, and educational grants) with overall responsibility of leading the team to effectively deliver clinical evidence to the physician community through relevant and impactful scientific communications aligned with Medical Affairs strategy.

Recommend & implement strategies, systems & processes for scientific communications and lead team from assessment of clinical data to develop and deliver communications including publications in peer-reviewed medical/cardiology journals and physician podium presentations, in collaboration with physician leaders in transcatheter tricuspid valve interventions.

Recommend & implement strategies, systems & processes for medical information related to transcatheter tricuspid valve interventions and lead team to ensure provision of information that supports appropriate product use and scientific exchange.

Recommend & implement strategies and lead team to ensure effective scientific review of product claims related to transcatheter tricuspid valve interventions.

Recommend & implement strategies, systems & processes for educational grant reviews and lead team for effective implementation.

Refine and effect best practices by recommending and implementing changes to methods through director(s), manager(s) and/or experienced professionals.

Develop a robust talent development and succession plan in alignment with Medical Affairs growth strategy.

Recommend, communicate and direct strategies. Lead in identifying risk, developing mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resoling issues, etc. in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams.

Plan and direct strategic activities including prioritizing appropriate projects with overall responsibility for meeting business objectives.

Analyze, formulate and present recommendations to advise and guide leadership; develop and deliver senior leadership/executive level communication.

What you'll need (Required):

Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Demonstrated track record in people management

What else we look for (Preferred):

Ph.D., PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced scientific degree.

Medical Affairs leadership experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.

Deep knowledge of cardiovascular disease states and therapies.

Experience with scientific communications, publications, medical information, or evidence dissemination.

Strong understanding of clinical research, clinical evidence interpretation, and biostatistics.

Demonstrated success leading and developing teams.

Exceptional scientific writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills.

Experience influencing cross-functional and senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Strong strategic thinking, project leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $209,000 - $296,000 (highly experienced).
