Summary Serve as the Lead EEO Specialist. Assists the EEO Deputy Director in administering EEO compliance and strategic programs. Responsibilities As the Equal Employment Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties: Lead and oversee the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program, ensuring compliance with federal laws and Department of War regulations. Manage counseling, mediation, investigation, and adjudication of informal and formal Equal Employment Opportunity complaints. Analyze Equal Employment Opportunity data to identify trends and barriers; prepare required reports such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Form 462 report and the Notification and Federal Employee Antidiscrimination and Retaliation Act (No FEAR Act) reports. Provide guidance and agency-wide training on Equal Employment Opportunity policies, procedures, and best practices. Maintain Equal Employment Opportunity tracking systems and provide regular data and status updates to the Equal Employment Opportunity Deputy Director. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for Equal Employment Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-13 Applying knowledge of Federal Equal Employment Opportunity concepts, principles, and legal requirements to address agency-wide issues. Identifying systemic Equal Employment Opportunity barriers through advanced analysis and translating findings into practical, actionable solutions. Advising managers on sensitive and complex Equal Employment Opportunity matters and helping incorporate Equal Employment Opportunity strategies into overall workforce management. Interpreting and developing Equal Employment Opportunity guidance and regulations and negotiating resolutions to unprecedented or challenging Equal Employment Opportunity problems. Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA.
