Summary Serves an Administrative Officer in a Flight Standards Functional Area. Incumbent is responsible for performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. Responsibilities The paramount qualifications required are detailed knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods. and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the organization. Incumbent is responsible for providing advice and guidance on varying fiscal and administrative matters to management. Primarily concerned with providing or securing the resources or services needed to run the organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission. As the office Administration Professional assists managers and staff in projecting staffing needs, including staffing levels and grades. and conducts work flow studies within the organization. Coordinates with HR to obtain guidance as it relates to organizational related functions including pay and leave, and benefits. Reviews travel associated matters and the training program including initial and recurring. Responsible for managing the office logistics program including personal property, supplies and services, and acquisition activities, awards, OSHA, security and vehicle management. Identifies, analyzes and recommends solutions to recurring problems and offers recommendations for improvements. Interprets guidelines and provides management with advice and counsel on the operation of assigned programs and interrelationships of such programs. Most assignments are completed without direct supervision as established in the guidelines. Some discretion is given to select the most appropriate approach. Work is frequently reviewed, typically at major milestones and at completion for policy compliance and alignment with other work activity. Supports the office assisting In monitoring available resources and ensures office administrative processes are functioning efficiently and effectively and in accordance with current guidance, policies, procedures. and regulations. Qualifications To qualify for this position at the FV-G/FG/GS-10/11, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F/FG/GS-5-9 in the Federal Service.
