Summary The Administrative Officer acts as a full partner with the Deputy Chief Engineer for the management and administration of the Facilities Management Service (FMS/Engineering). This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS), which is a major inpatient and outpatient healthcare system serving the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The primary purpose of the position is to direct and perform all administrative functions that include the administration of human resource management, budget and finance management, program management, and document control management, not limited to: suspenses, medical center memorandums and policies, meeting minutes, and any internal and external communication to federal, state, and local agencies. Performs other related duties, as assigned by the Office of the Chief, Facilities Management Service (FMS/Engineering). Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: overseeing the operations of an office, program, or department; planning workloads and delegating responsibilities; evaluating employee performance and providing training as needed; performing budget and financial management duties; coordinating the acquisition of supplies and services and managing inventories; and managing contracts. This experience must be detailed in your resume to receive credit.
