Software Engineer - .NET & Java

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer - .NET & Java with 4 to 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications using .NET and Java technologies within the Healthcare Provider domain . The ideal candidate will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that enhance provider operations, improve data accuracy, and support digital transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will:

· Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable applications using .NET and Java to support provider domain business processes and operational needs.

· Develop backend services, APIs, and system integrations that enable accurate and efficient exchange of provider data across enterprise platforms.

· Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate provider requirements into effective technical solutions.

· Optimize application performance through troubleshooting, refactoring, code reviews, and implementation of best practices in software development.

· Support CI/CD processes, testing activities, and production deployments while ensuring application reliability, security, and compliance.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in a client office in Hartford, CT. What you need to have to be considered

· 4 to 6 years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in .NET Framework/.NET Core and Java technologies.

· Proven experience developing enterprise applications within the Healthcare Provider domain, including provider enrollment, credentialing, provider management, or data management solutions.

· Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, application design patterns, and secure coding practices.

· Experience with relational databases, SQL development, query optimization, and data modeling.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 44550 to $ 65500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
