Summary This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE Elizabeth City, MWR Division, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, and administer recreation activities and programs that promote the physical, creative, and social development of its participants. This position supports a major military program designed to enhance the morale and well-being of the military members and their dependents, and foster the increased retention of personnel in which the Coast Guard has invested resources through training and development. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Monitoring profits, inventory controls and cash accounting. Recommending and drafting directives, manuals and regulations for all Morale Well-Being and Recreation. Monitoring and Reviewing all financial statements and reports. Coordinating and preparing the annual appropriate and non-appropriated budget. Assisting with scheduling staff, evaluating performances, personnel actions, time sheet and approving leave. Qualifications To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
