What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you'll be a vital member of the clinical team, helping ensure patients receive the highest level of care from check-in through treatment and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other clinical information.
Assist physicians and providers during examinations and office-based procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies to ensure efficient patient care.
Coordinate patient flow and help maintain smooth daily clinic operations.
Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow-up care instructions.
Perform clinical duties within scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and other patient care activities as appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to deliver outstanding patient care and service.
Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
Medical Assistant certification or equivalent training and experience.
Previous experience in a physician office, specialty practice, clinic, or outpatient healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of Medical Assistant experience.
Experience supporting specialty care providers.
Familiarity with insurance verification, care coordination, and patient scheduling.
Experience performing EKGs, injections, and other clinical support functions.
Current BLS/CPR certification.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
