Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a team in Dallas, Texas in a Contract to permanent capacity. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting specialist with at least 2 years of experience who can manage core financial activities with accuracy and minimal supervision. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and reconciliations while contributing to efficient billing, receivables, and payables processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounting activities across payables, receivables, billing, and general financial recordkeeping.

Prepare and review financial reports to help maintain accurate and timely accounting information.

Reconcile accounts regularly, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues with a high level of precision.

Process invoices, payments, and customer billing transactions while maintaining organized supporting documentation.

Use Excel to analyze financial data, track account activity, and support reporting needs.

Work independently to identify process issues, troubleshoot accounting variances, and recommend practical solutions.

Maintain accurate records within accounting systems, including Sage when applicable, to support reliable financial operations. Requirements - At least 2 years of accounting experience.

Working knowledge of core accounting procedures, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.

Experience preparing or supporting financial reporting activities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data review, tracking, and reporting.

Experience with Sage accounting software is strongly preferred.

Strong attention to detail with effective organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems efficiently.
