Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description
This Electrical Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, design-driven building projects where mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems are seamlessly integrated into the overall architectural vision. You will contribute to high-end, complex projects across sectors such as government, healthcare, education, hospitality, ultra-high-end residential, mixed-use, and faith-based facilities. The position is ideal for an engineer who combines strong technical skills with a passion for design excellence and innovative use of technology in the design process.
Responsibilities
Design electrical power distribution and related building systems that integrate harmoniously with architectural and MEP concepts.
Develop detailed electrical designs and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD for a wide range of project @types, including government, healthcare, education, hospitality, ultra-high-end residential, mixed-use, and faith-based facilities.
Collaborate closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure MEP systems enhance overall building aesthetics rather than overpower them.
Participate in the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through construction documentation, helping to refine and improve design solutions.
Apply electrical engineering principles and building systems knowledge to create safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs.
Utilize technology and modeling tools to support coordinated, clash-free designs and accurate documentation.
Work proactively as a self-starter, managing assigned tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Support continuous improvement of design processes and standards by sharing ideas, lessons learned, and best practices with the project team.
Contribute to a collaborative office culture that values design excellence, innovation, and long-term client relationships.
Essential Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Professional experience in MEP design within the building industry.
Strong electrical engineering and electrical design skills, particularly in power distribution systems.
Proficiency with Revit for building systems design and documentation.
Proficiency with AutoCAD for drawings and coordination.
Relevant project experience in sectors such as government, healthcare, education, hospitality, ultra-high-end residential, mixed-use, or faith-based facilities.
Ability to work as a self-starter, taking ownership of tasks and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) credentials are not required but are strongly preferred.
Strong interest in design excellence and integrating MEP systems to support architectural aesthetics.
Comfort working on complex, high-end, non-cookie-cutter projects that require creativity and attention to detail.
Effective collaboration and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary design teams.
