Description We are looking for a dependable Administrative Assistant/Case Manager to support individuals through a Contract position focused on housing stability, tenant support, and day-to-day administrative coordination. This opportunity is well suited for someone with strong computer skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the confidence to complete community-based tasks, including mail runs and in-person follow-up. The ideal candidate brings compassion, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records and clear communication.

Responsibilities:

Oversee an active caseload of residents, delivering consistent case management services that promote stable housing and improved well-being.

Meet with tenants at move-in and on an ongoing basis to assess needs, monitor progress, and provide timely support based on individual circumstances.

Build trusting relationships with residents and use proactive engagement strategies to help prevent housing disruptions.

Assist tenants with benefit-related matters, rent payment coordination, and other documentation needed to maintain housing.

Address unit-related concerns by working alongside property staff during inspections, habitability reviews, and pest control visits when needed.

Connect residents with community resources such as healthcare, behavioral health, substance use support, and employment programs, and help them follow through with referrals.

Organize or support tenant activities, group events, and community-building efforts that encourage participation and a supportive living environment.

Maintain complete and confidential case files, document services accurately, and respond appropriately to crises by using de-escalation techniques and escalating concerns when necessary.

Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers, support scheduled check distribution activities, and participate in required meetings and program initiatives. Requirements - Previous experience in administrative support, case management, social services, or a related client-facing role.

Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with accurate data entry and email communication skills.

Demonstrated customer service experience with the ability to handle inbound and outbound communication professionally.

Comfortable working in the community and traveling locally on foot to complete assigned tasks in the Tenderloin area.

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, stay organized, and balance competing responsibilities effectively.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals facing mental health, medical, housing, or substance use challenges.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and respond calmly in high-pressure or crisis situations.
