Aerotek is hiring for a Warehouse Clerk/Order Picker for a facility located in West Memphis, AR. This position is a 1st shift (M-F 6AM-4:30PM (30 min lunch) and paying $20-$23/hr depending on experience. If interested and qualified, please apply for immediate consideration.
Job Description
The Warehouse Clerk/Order Picker plays a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely fulfillment of customer orders within a high-volume warehouse environment. This position verifies outbound orders, prepares shipments using various parcel carriers, and maintains high standards of productivity, accuracy, and inventory integrity while supporting overall warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations.
Responsibilities
Verify outbound orders to ensure accuracy in products, quantities, and documentation before shipment.
Process and manage parcel shipments through UPS, FedEx, and other designated carriers, following established procedures and timelines.
Coordinate and oversee shipments for national customers, ensuring deliveries are timely, accurate, and cost-effective.
Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected, labeled, and loaded.
Maintain established productivity and accuracy standards in order fulfillment and general warehouse operations.
Preserve inventory integrity by keeping picking areas clean, organized, and free of debris while ensuring products are properly stored and easily accessible.
Transport and stage orders to shipping docks, delivery platforms, or other designated locations using appropriate material handling equipment.
Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners safely and efficiently to support picking, staging, and inventory activities.
Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment, promptly report any maintenance issues, and ensure equipment batteries are properly charged at the end of each shift.
Support warehouse, shipping, and receiving functions by performing additional operational duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Essential Skills
Proven experience with order picking in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts in a busy warehouse setting.
Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, inventory control, and order verification.
Hands-on experience working with inventory, including handling, storage, and basic inventory integrity practices.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly relay information and follow instructions.
Ability to meet established productivity and accuracy standards while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving products throughout the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with processing shipments through carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
Experience working in large warehouse facilities or distribution centers.
Comfort working with material handling equipment and following safety procedures.
Willingness to perform a variety of warehouse, shipping, and receiving tasks as needed.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large warehouse environment with open truck bays, which can become warm depending on weather conditions. You will work around active shipping docks, material handling equipment, and high volumes of inventory. The position requires regular use of pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners, as well as frequent movement throughout the facility to pick, stage, and transport orders. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an expectation of consistent productivity and teamwork.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
