Standard Job Description

You will be the Electro Mechanical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin? Missiles?and Fire Control (MFC).?Our team delivers precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, designing, building and fielding the electrical hardware that powers missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems for the United?States and allied militaries.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electromechanical Design Engineer, you will develop innovative design concepts and provide electromechanical production support across defense programs. Your responsibilities may include:

Designing and developing electromechanical systems and components, including circuit card assemblies (CCAs), harness assemblies, electronic enclosures, and sub-assemblies

Generating detailed mechanical layouts, 3D models, and engineering drawings, including material, component, and process selections

Designing and modeling wiring harnesses using Zuken and producing complete Bills of Material

Creating model-based routing and layout packages that meet size, weight, and power constraints

Defining acceptance test criteria, performing verification testing, and documenting results in Windchill

Executing Material Review Board (MRB) actions, updating engineering change records, and maintaining configuration control

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including structural and thermal analysts, configuration management, electrical and mechanical designers, subcontracts, planning, and quality personnel

Providing technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, and test phases

Traveling as needed to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities to resolve issues and validate hardware

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university

Experience with CREO, Catia, or similar 3D modeling software

Experience with creating hardware drawings, drawing instructions, assembly instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), and technical documentation using CAD tools

Knowledge of conceptual and detail design skills, and mechanical drawing standards

Knowledge and desire to work on electronic hardware such as electronic housings, circuit card assemblies, and wire harnesses

Ability to work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance

Desired Skills

Ability to engage with mechanical drawing standards and experience with detail, assembly, and installation @type 2D drawings

Experience using CREO and/or Zuken

Knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles

Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Agile PLM, or similar tools

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as IPC, IEEE, VITA, and MIL-STD

Experience with machine design, mechanical components, and machine shops

Experience with electrical schematic interpretation

Experience with hardware integration, working with cables/harness/wiring

Experience with circuit card assembly/electronics manufacturing, working with ESD sensitive hardware

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
