Director of Marketing:

We are looking for a strategic marketing leader to guide firmwide business development and brand initiatives. This role will work closely with executive leadership, practice group heads, and attorneys to strengthen market visibility, deepen client relationships, and support revenue growth across multiple offices. The position is ideal for someone who combines high-level planning with hands-on execution in a detail-focused services environment.

Responsibilities:

Direct the overall marketing and business development function, including planning, budget oversight, external partners, and day-to-day department leadership.

Collaborate with firm leadership and attorneys to shape and implement growth strategies that align with practice priorities and client needs.

Coach attorneys on relationship development, cross-selling, networking, and growing their individual books of business.

Direct the firm's brand and communications strategy, including PR, digital marketing, website, social media, thought leadership, rankings, awards, sponsorships, and advertising.

Oversee submissions for industry rankings, awards, and recognitions while maintaining strong supporting materials and deadlines.

Lead the development of marketing assets such as attorney biographies, practice descriptions, pitch materials, and client-facing collateral.

Plan and supervise conferences, sponsorships, client events, and other visibility initiatives that support relationship building and brand awareness.

Build strong internal partnerships during the first several months by learning the firm's practice groups, attorney goals, and business development priorities across offices.

Requirements

Services marketing experience is required, with legal marketing strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders, partners, or executives in a consultative and high-visibility setting.

Proven ability to lead both strategic marketing planning and day-to-day execution.

Background in business development and experience helping attorneys develop new business and strengthen client relationships.

Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.

Familiarity with legal directory submissions and industry recognition processes is preferred.

Experience supporting events, sponsorships, networking programs, or thought leadership campaigns is a plus.
