As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Christiansburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and use technology to document activities. Pay Rate: $18.94 / Hour

Wed12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Thur12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Fri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Sun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.

Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.

Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.

Preferred customer service experience.

Preferred alarm panel experience.

Preferred access control and badge experience.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
