Description

We are looking for a Case Manager to support resident-focused programs within affordable housing communities in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance administrative coordination with resident support, helping individuals and families connect with services that strengthen housing stability and overall well-being. The role combines program organization, community outreach, and case-related documentation in a mission-driven non-profit environment.

Responsibilities:

Guide residents and families through available support options by assessing needs, arranging referrals, and following up on service connections.

Monitor situations that may threaten housing stability and coordinate timely interventions that encourage successful tenancy retention.

Develop productive partnerships with local agencies, service providers, and community organizations to expand access to helpful resources.

Organize workshops, meetings, and resident-centered activities that encourage wellness, life skills development, and neighborhood involvement.

Support community-building efforts that foster inclusion, independence, and stronger social connections among residents.

Coordinate youth and family programming, including structured activities that promote learning, engagement, and positive development.

Maintain thorough records of participation, referrals, case activity, and service outcomes in resident files and tracking systems.

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support residents with complex needs, including vulnerable and formerly unhoused populations.

Assist with outreach efforts, occasional evening or weekend events, and travel within the service area as needed to support program delivery.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.

At least two years of experience in case management, resident services, social services, affordable housing, or a closely related field.

Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including families, seniors, youth, individuals with disabilities, and people facing housing challenges.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across a range of settings.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with residents, community partners, and service organizations.

Experience coordinating schedules, events, meetings, or service activities while managing multiple priorities.

Comfortable leading group discussions, presentations, or workshops in a clear and engaging manner. TalentMatch®
