Job Description

One of our customers is seeking a Sales Executive to sit remotely in North or South Carolina. This role operates in a "sell-with" capacity, partnering closely with their key distributors (AWC, Sunsource, IES) and their outside sales reps (OSRs) to drive growth across targeted accounts. On a day-to-day basis, this person will identify and prioritize key opportunities, align with 10-15 core distributor reps, and collaboratively build account strategies focused on both net-new penetration and expansion within existing customers-most of which have strong growth potential. Responsibilities include co-selling into accounts, developing pipeline, forecasting, and driving customer conversations around automation, efficiency, and system integration, while helping position their solutions within small to mid-sized opportunities (typically under $500K). The role is highly relationship-driven and execution-focused, requiring consistent engagement with partners to scale growth across the territory.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience selling industrial automation or highly technical products

Experience selling within manufacturing / industrial environments

Proven success working with distributors, channel partners, or indirect sales models

Experience partnering with outside sales reps and co-selling into accounts

Ability to drive net-new growth + expansion within existing accounts - Background in factory automation technologies (PLCs, HMIs, drives, controls, etc.)

Experience with competitors (Rockwell, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, etc.)

Familiarity with motion control or process automation environments

Existing relationships within distributor networks (AWC, Sunsource, IES, etc.)

Experience in a challenger-style or hunter sales environment
