Staff Accountant - (PT)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including annuity and endowment-related transactions.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Collaborate with Grants Departments on monthly reconciliations, entries and the year-end grant close cycles.

Process and reconcile gift activity in accordance with institutional policies

Job Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

One to three years of accounting or bookkeping experience preferred.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle preferred.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
